thing works better than i thought it wood

I have to get a more powerful drill.

Works great with all kinds of wood. Oak and walnut split with minimal effort. Definitely is better than swinging splitting ax all day. Split about 1 Rick in 30 minutes with this drill bit, with a 20v cordless Dewalt.

I recently received this drill bit from Carlton Hardware, loaded it into my drill (just a cordless DeWalt), grabbed a hunk of firewood (lodgepole pine) and went to town. In seconds I had it split into five small pieces - no hatchet, no need to go outside, no whacking involved, no missing and getting your fingers. Not sure how it would work with other woods, but boy, for pine, it worked wonders!

I freaking love this thing. You will need a hammer-drill. Just work it down the log and you shouldn't bind up but if you do, don't go in reverse. Its a two piece bit and will unscrew. Other than that this drill bit is so amazing!!!

ALL I CAN SAY IS IT WORKS AS ADVERTISED. NO MAJOR PROBLEMS. AS EVERYONE WHO WORKS WITH WOOD KNOWS, IT WORKS BETTER ON SOME KINDS THAN OTHERS. VERY GOOD

I was pretty skeptical of this at first. My dad told me about it so I grabbed one. But after splitting a few logs with it I was extremely impressed, it works pretty damn good. The logs I got delivered were just a bit too big to burn well in my fireplace, so I take a load in and split them with the drill and life is so much easier. It even works really well to make kindling.

Worked great I was surprised that it did what an expensive wood splitter does for a lot less effort

Overall I am really pleased with this product. I use it every time I process some wood to bring into the house for our small wood burning stove. Then I leave it by the wood box inside if I need to make more kindling. I think this would work great for camping also to make some smaller kindling to get your fire started. There is a bit of a learning curve and I would recommend reading my tips below before you buy and use. Tip 1 - You must use this in a drill that has some Power. I tried to use it in

one of these kindling splitting bits and let me tell you , pleased doesn't quite sum it up on being pleased with my purchase. Wow is almost all I can say. It's very well built and man is it tough. My first purchase was a bit of a failure in a sense, it also gave me the insight of what to look for in these splitters. I made my second choice based off of what I learned from the first purchase. If I can save anyone a few steps I can and do recommend this particular splitter from Carlton Hardware. It actually does what it has been designed to do. If I had 4 thumbs I'd give it 4 thumbs up .

It splits wood with ease! It works great and it's rather easy to use. Used it from the top and it split the wood effortlessly. Can't say enough great things about the drill bit from Carlton Hardware.
